MHYF Director of Scholarships Report – February 6, 2022

The MHYF Scholarship Committee would like to congratulate all of the 2022 Scholarship recipients!  You all did a wonderful job with your interviews and we wish you the best during the 2022-2023 academic year!  It is with the support of Miniature Hereford breeders and enthusiasts from across the United States that the MHYF Scholarship Committee was able to award a total of $3,750 in scholarship awards to the 2022 applicants.  Thank you and congratulations!

As spring is rapidly approaching, we are hard at work on the 2023 Miniature Hereford World Calendars!  These calendar fundraisers are the primary source of funding for the annual MHYF scholarships that are awarded to graduating high school seniors and current college students. The proceeds from the 2023 World Calendar sales and advertisements will be utilized in providing the 2024 MHYF Scholarships.  We need your help to provide financial support to our Miniature Hereford youth in their pursuits of higher education! 

There are several ways that you can help support the Calendar fundraiser: 

• 1.      You may purchase a month photo page advertisement to fill with your favorite Mini Hereford pictures,
• 2.      You may purchase ‘days of the month’ advertisements in which you can write special notes for family and friends (alternatively, it also is an excellent space for monthly advertisements with your farm/ranch logo),
• 3.      You may order bulk calendars to provide as gifts to all those who purchase cattle from you each year.
